I haven't seen too many RPG's that have perked my interest lately. I remember when Bioware announced Dragon Age, and that has been in development for sometime now, but otherwise, there is little news to speak of.

I still have my original game disks with me :)

So do I. So many good memories.

I have some friends who may really appreciate this, their discs haven't survived 11-12 years of gaming.

I played in the closed beta and I'm currently in the open beta. I like the game, I think it is enjoyable and fast paced and the multiplayer is quite fun, especially if one is lucky enough to join a team that works together well. Engine needs optimizations but it is still a beta version of the game. The explosion effects are fabulous.

Being a veteran of Ground Control and Ground Control II, I was excited when World in Conflict was announced.

Command and Conquer Windows 95 edition right? Want to run on Windows XP?

Here is one way to make it work:
1. Install it right off the CD after setting compatibility modes for the installer.

2. Download thipx32.dll from, http://www.understorm.net/thipx/thipx32.dll. Copy over the .dll from the install of the game.

3. Set compatibility modes for the executable.

4. Run Command and Conquer. It should work now.

Have fun!

From just playing the demos of both games, I have to say that the quality of both Command and Conquer 3 and Company of Heroes is quite high. Company of Heroes is a brilliant real time strategy that really captures the intensity of the largest conflict in human history.

I was, for a long time, convinced that Command and Conquer 3 was never going to be made and if it was, then it wouldn't be anything like the Command and Conquers of old. (Generals really wasn't a Command and Conquer game in my humble opinion. It wasn't a bad game but it was much closer to Starcraft than Command and Conquer.)

But I really like the demo for Command and Conquer 3 and I am surprised at the job Electronic arts has done. It recaptures the Command and Conquer spirit (only thing missing is the left click interface) and its pacing faster enough to provide good action.

Command and Conquer is not an inferior real time strategy. I still feel that the gameplay in the original Red Alert is excellent. The gameplay may be tried but it is true and to me it is fun.

Command and Conquer 3 and Company of Heroes are both great and I will be picking both of them when I can.

[QUOTE="zbiggie"] Also it seems that the game doesn't run to good with xp( or its just me)

Total Annihilation runs fine on XP for me.

In response to the original poster, make sure you are patched and if it presists try reinstalling. I haven't encountered your problem so I really can't help much outside of giving some advice. Sorry.
