Regenerating health encourages camping imo, whereas in the classic fps games you find your self scavenging for health packs . A mixture of both is sometimes good, for example Far Cry 2, where your health regenerates up to a certain point(if you remove the bullet, that is) but after that you need a health pack for full recovery. MOH: Airborne had a mixture too iirc.
Crysis to me was good but not great. Nice graphics an' all, but i got pretty bored halfway(around the times the aliens came) through. CoD4 kept me playing because i found the SP mode very exciting(although heavily scripted) Any other CoD after MW made me facepalm. Crysis 2 ON THE OTHER HAND LOOKS AWESOME.
SC: CT is probably one of my favourite games ever. If SC6 is anything like it, i will buy it. I dunno, but most of ubisoft games seem to be getting much more simpler,more run and gun. Take conviction for instance. And Vegas, and the new future soldier game.
