@ja3e What the funk have sales figures got to with a graphics comparison? The only reason 360 is selling well is because it is cheap and we are in a recession. If, like you, your mom works at Tesco, she can only afford to spend £100 on a console and you will have to settle for a 360. :D

Using Fallout 3 as a basis for comparison is pointless. Yes, the PS3 version is inferior, but this is only because it was a bad port of a PC game. If you look at a range of genres, the PS3 is more than a match for the 360. Best looking driving game on current gen consoles: GT5P (PS3) Best looking action game on current gen consoles: MGS4 (PS3) Best looking platformer on current gen consoles: LBP (PS3) Best looking adventure game on current gen consoles: Uncharted (PS3) And before all the 360 fanboys start shouting that these games aren't on 360, the fact is, the best looking games are on the PS3. End of. :D

Arkady_Husky, you are so right! GT5P, WipeoutHD, MGS4, Resistance 2 - all awful looking games running at sub-720p. Well done you!

All this proves is that Bethesda couldn't be bothered to invest the time/effort/money to make the PS3 version the best that it could be. I suspect many PS3 owners will not be spending their hard-earned cash on this title, so it's Bethesda who lose out in the end.
