I feel the need to plae this here too since gamespot news seems to be behind a little.

Earlier this week ubisoft posted a small message on their forums that they were not going to give the promissed beta they used in their marketing campaign for pre-orders. There were no emails send to the people and the only compensation is a commander boat skin and an emblem.

No reason was given, and the compensation is ludicrous. Furthermore i feel it could be argumented that this has to be their worst case of false advertising as of yet.

On date of posting this the dutch site still promotes the beta as being part of the pre-order, even though they themselves stated on the forums there will not be a beta.

"Preorder now and secure your spot in the beta"

I'm hoping gamespot will pick up on this and spread the word so that at the very least we, the consumers can get an explanation for this breach in contract.
