[QUOTE="Coolio_Poolio"]i have a toshiba 1080p tv and when i plug him into my ps3 she says that he only does 1080i can any one help?ramey70
\ Many Toshiba (and Mitsubishi) 1080p TV's will not accept 1080p signals, just 1080i. Early Sony and Samsung models did the same thing.

so it says on the box that it can do 1080p but it doesnt accept the signal? thats crap. r u sure that thats not just the older ones cause mines brand new

Im confused, we are talking about your tv right?

yeah my tv is a boy and my ps3 is a girl, that would be just gross to have two boys or two girls.

I don't think so but thats personal opinion. I've seen 1080p displayed on 65" tv's and wasn't anymore impressed than 1080i. If YOU think it looks better than it's worth it because YOU are the one watching and YOU think it is better, go get a 1080p.GameCrazed85
I have a 1080p tv and it says that the max resolution is 1080i is there any thing i can do to fix this? i wanna see if there is a difference

I think that this is the year that Sony gets smacked back into line. They have been so successful with their previous two consoles that they are getting to cocky. This year when the outcome of sales comes I think Sony will be humbled and really start to try hard like they used to. Sony won't flop because they made a smart move with blu-ray (opinion) and as that starts to nudge dvd out ps3 sales will be increased. But the playsation will not lose in the overall cycle of consoles, however in the first year maybe second year they won't be on top. In the end (I personaly) think PS3 wins, but not nearly to the extreme of the ps2.
