@Gelugon_baat: Technically all GH/RB games have microtransactions. Paying $2 for a song is a microtransaction. It's unfortunate that you can't permanently download/own the songs with their new model, but you CAN play all the dlc for free via GHTV or earning Plays in game.
@elheber: Wait but did you check out what GHTV mode looks like though? GHTV puts the note track on top of the original music video for the song so there's no live actors if that bugs you. It's pretty cool.
@brimdunkleton: Haha lazily made? What a joke. RB4 is literally the same thing as RB3 except with added custom solos. GH is a complete reinvention. Which part of this screams lazy to you?

In regards to multiplayer: You can play local co-op with 2 guitars and 1 singer for on disc songs via Quickplay mode. And anybody can jump in during GHTV mode. For online multiplayer there's automatic matchmaking on GHTV, and for 1v1 duels online that's still not implemented yet.
@elheber: Sorry buddy they're the original tracks. So the actors/singers are mouthing to the original singer's voice. You should watch some Twitch streams first though to see what it's like. Also you'll spend like 75% of your time in GHTV mode anyways.
