[QUOTE="longhorn7"]um street racing has been popular for decades? the tuner car version of it was brought to mainstream by the fast and the furious...The_Rick_14

the man is correct there, cars have been modded and raced illegally as far back as the 70s I believe. The Fast and the Furious movies simply made it appeal to the public.

When he says "Tuner" he is referring to Asian import cars like Civics and Daewoos and crap like that they throw all these performance parts at... Tuners doesnt refer to the modded American muscle cars from BEFORE the 70s and up... Tuner cars here in the states hasn't been very popular for long at all. Fast and the Furious did propel its popularity crazy amounts. And for the record.. any vehicle will go really freaking fast if you run NOS through the engine, which Tuners do all the time. Its the equivalent to a human taking speed or steroids. It gives you a boost, but will tear up your insides.

You do know that all NOS does is accelerate the breakdown of fuel in the engine, right. A stock Civic with NOS won't even run sub 13s in the 1/4 mile. A Supra TT can be given up to 750bhp without strengthening any of the other supporting parts (like pulleys) or adding N20 and outdrag a high number of exotics.

I just hate when people think that all Tuner cars are the douchbags who think putting a sticker on their car makes it faster. The True Tuner crowd knows the difference.

Yes, I know what NOS does hehe.. But I like to think of it this way. If you went out and drove 2 stock vehicles.. which one is faster? I love Supras stock.. without all the pimp magic super deluxe ground effects. Besides, I don't think I would classify Supras in the same category as Civics and dumb family cars like that. A Supra is a sports car at heart.. and a fairly large one at that. Its not some 4 banger either.. I think its a straight 6 even! Too bad they don't make it anymore.. I remember sitting in one at a Toyota dealership when I was a kid. My parents had a Camry LOL.... (Which some people have the nerve to "pimp" those out too... gawwww)

they need to avoid those cheesy story lines though

just stick to the racing like the old days, like the hot pursuit days

i am tired of these lame, pointless stories of someone stealing money or stealing your ride and these lame actors that make fools of themselves on the game

Exactly.. and like I said in the last thread about this.. Ditch the wanna be race cars - AKA rice burners with super deluxe turbo supercharged P.I.M.P. induction 4 bangers... with NOS.. :D

I hope its more like Hot Pursuit and less crap tuner cars.. So tired of turbo-charged 4 bangers with NOS, colorful pimp lights that flash and sparkle, spoilers too tall to fit through traffic lights, and exhaust sytems that sound like your farting in a paper towel tube roll.
