@kiryyya @Smosh150 The multiplayer aspect of this game is completely optional. You can do your classes story by yourself. Hell, you dont need to do any of the flashpoints or anything to get a great story.

I couldnt watch anymore of the video. I dont know who put Danny upto this, but i completely disagree with the Animus being the weight that holds down the franchise. Quite the contrary. I believe the concept of the Animus opens up limitless stories and settings to be able to continue on with. Sure, the last few parts of the Animus story were bleh, but that doesnt mean it had i direct effect on the past settings. Actually, its almost as if it had nothing to do with it.

That being said, i dont believe AC can exist without the Animus. Its who concept was designed as them going back in time. And the fact that they went with Pirates has no correlation to the Animus. They couldve done Egypt, Macedonia, Feudal Japan, China, and plenty of other settings. But they had to settle with guns. They NEEDED guns. And since people love pirates, why not make it a pirate game.

@Adavanter @CarlitosWay Ironically, that was going to be my same example lol. I love SWTOR and it could definitely have been much better if the money was better spent. Which is why i am also skeptical.

Although the ending result was completely different, SWTOR was announced years before it was finished. It was still in planning phases. Eventually, they began showing off concept art... It would get posted ALL over the place. Next, they started showing the pre-alpha shots. Now, this wasnt something you can only see on the main website... They showed it off to many sites. I remember people here on GS laughing at the PRE PRE Alpha pics of HUGE lightsabers hilts with tiny blades. Bioware got flack for it after they couldnt guarantee the game wouldnt look like that. I mean, it was early early stages, so they couldnt know.

Eventually, the game started advancing more and more, with screens, trailers, and developer diaries with mini shots of concept art, screen shots, and some minor videos of what they were actually doing. A lot of times they separated the diaries on focus points, like graphics, music, etc. And of course, this was all free.

Again, my comments were on the idea that there WASNT anything open to see to the public. There is, thanks to @Gamerno6666 showing me the site. Its jsut a wonder why it was never shown off here.

@Adavanter @CarlitosWay Im hoping so. My original comment was based on the fact that there are ZERO updates on other sites about the game, minus the trailer.

@Adavanter @CarlitosWay Ive seen plenty of games with HUGE budgets. Ending result is subjective.

But, from what i am looking at in the website, it looks really good. Lets hope it gets spent well.

@Cypress131 @CarlitosWay Im sorry... But i have yet to give funding to a video game, and i have read, listened, and watched MANY Diaries from developers that were released to the public. I mean ive watched live demos developers have shwoed for their followers, and not only to people who paid them.

I mean, if that was the case, websites like this would be bankrupt. They make a living reporting to us trailers, news, and demos for upcoming games.

Hype build up for games has never been "exclusive".

@Cypress131 @CarlitosWay This is a video game, being sold to the public. Not to exclusive funders.

Aside from that, why do we keep getting monetary updates? If this is such an exclusive thing, why should someone who hasnt paid care?
