This is pretty clear to me as this is nothing but an always online DRM attempt by Ubisoft again.

Just masking it as a "fun" MP. F that I don't want to be a part of it, I want to play the game solo without some a-hole griefing me when I am playing or watching me like some sicko.

Why can't I just enjoy this game on my own? It severely aggravates me to the point I might not get the game.

@Rusmurf His good game would be Deus Ex ( the original ). Lauded as the best PC game ever in most polls.

@blueinheaven Not to mention load times. Imagine not having to be bothered by load times transitioning in and out of buildings and town in Skyrim alone. All of them is just doors opening to an already loaded area.

@Goddammitj It does more than that. Memory is involved in everything. Animations. the more memory (RAM) the more advanced animations. Same with AI programming, textures, size of the game, loading times, sound.

It is very useful and needed.

@SIDEFX1 @SinXGuard Actually they haven't split the memory 50/50 for the CPU and GPU. It is unified memory this time. So a developer can allocate whatever size memory they need towards either CPU and GPU. Which is much better.

@steelmouth Doubtful. You already had Adam Orth that works are MS studios almost confirming it is always online by lambasting people for not liking it. MS never denies it. Given that Xbox live is their cash-cow and they are not going to give that up, it is NOT far-fetched to see them making it a must have and always online type thing.

@cmacinnis @CecilChups I doubt that, I am almost certain by now that it will be always online. If MS knows that it isn't they would just come out and say so. They are hurting right now in the media. Why not just dispel a toxic rumor if not true? Many Xbox fans are looking towards buying a PS4 instead. Even if MS comes out with a console that is NOT always online, by then these people have already started to be taken in by PS4 and accept it as their primary console. They are sure to lose some customers cause of it.

@Operational117 @the_requiem @cmacinnis Really? So the cat's not out of the bag yet? We already know there is a new Xbox coming out, the PS4 reveal kind of spelled that out. Unless MS is out of the "game", which they would say instead of "no comment".

These rumors are probably very close to the truth by now, there are more and more reputable people confirming it and MS is never denying it cause they can't if they are true. BUT, they would deny the rumors if not true cause right now they are hurting in bad publicity everywhere.
