I was wondering what other gamers out there think about cheat codes. I am mostly a PC gamer, I do have an X-BOX as well. A friend of mine, every time he gets a new game, the first thing he does is look for cheat codes (mostly invulnerability and God modes). I hate cheat codes and never use them. To me a cheat takes away from the enjoyment of the game and doesn't use any skills as a gamer. I mean if u can walk into a room, get shot 100 times and take no damage at all and just blast the enemy, where is the fun in that? I feel better if I have to use skills to survive, and cheats, for me, take the fun out of the game. As an afterthought, I don't consider walkthroughs to be a cheat if they are used to maybe get you started on a new game (like the ones with FFXI Online) or guide you to your first quest/mish or whatever. (again FFXI Online). I do not, however use a walkthrough to "take my hand" and guide me through the whole game.
Okay, maybe I am being a bit nit picking, but I have a question about Final Fantasy XI Online (PC Version). I enjoy the game even thought it is the first game in the series that I have played. The graphics are execellent, the combat system is well designed, and the story is interesting. That said I do have one complaint, I feel the interface for movement and accessing maps, inventory, etc. is kinda , I don't know, clunky? The whole input for the player is focused on the num pad, and to open up maps, etc, u have to hit the minus key, and then acess your choice from a drop down menu. It seems to me that they could have more keyboard shortcuts. I haven't found any yet, every time I hit a key on the keyboard, the chat window opens. So, I was just curious if anyone else who played this game has similar feelings about the interface. Thanx.
I think the old X-COM games would make a good movie (trilogy?). The well developed story and the sci-fi setting would work very well in a movie setting, as long as Uwe Boll didn't get ahold of it. Also, I think the Fallout series would translate well onto the big screen
I wish someone would "ressurect" the X-COM series (UFO Defense, Terror From The Deep, Apocalypse, Interceptor). They were awesome games. I know the UFO: Aftermath game and its sequels like to say they are a "spiritual successor to X-COM", but to me they are not, as i have played them. I think X-COM would be amazing with the new technology we have out there, I loved the games way back in the 80s and early 90s when they initially came out
I am thinking of getting Tabula Rasa, can anyone who has played the game give me soem feedback on whether or not they think this is a good idea or not?
I just started playing Neverwinter Nights 2 (now that i have a system that can play it), and I have a question. How do u bash down a door? In one of the quests u threaten to bash down a door, and your follower says "I am right with you let's do it." This to me means u should be able to bash a door down, right? I can find nothing in the manual, and I think I hit every key on the keyboard and pressed all my mouse buttons. Please help.
