@RedWave247: Oh, man. That Robocop remake...Shame on you for reminding me of that. Just when I thought I had completely forgotten it.

@cejay0813: I'm gonna go ahead and call you crazy. Then again, I'll call myself crazy because I enjoyed it, too.

@RedWave247: Fair enough. I did actually enjoy the Planet of the Apes reboot as well. I was born in '85 so when I see a lot of things from my youth being tampered with, I'm automatically a bit biased and I'll admit that. There's just too many instances like "Total Recall" that just irritate me and make it hard for me to be optimistic anymore. Plus, as it relates to The Predator, I am not wild about this cast. At all.

But you're right about Shane Black. Aside from Iron Man 3 he's got a pretty good resume so here's hoping he can change my mind about this one.

@RedWave247: Well, if the rest of Hollywood remakes and quasi-sequels actually stood out and added something to the films they pretend to be based on, then he would actually need to wait. However, Hollywood sucks and they can't even be bothered to be creative or unique when remaking movies, so...

@RicanV: I don't think it's the idea that people would hold out specifically for the off chance it becomes a free title, it's just a nice way to play a triple A title that you missed or didn't feel inclined to pay up front for at the time. LBP 3, for instance. Plus, it's nice to get something more than just indie titles every month. Admit it, it's nice when games like Injustice: UE or DMC are free for the month. I don't think anybody expects them to give away new releases but triple A titles are a nice break from yet another 8 or 16-bit inspired indie game.

@Atzenkiller: Yeah, its price has bobbled quite a bit but, in my opinion, only reflects the lack of sales, not quality. In any case, if you're patient enough for a GOTY then just wait. Regardless of when you get it, if you like the franchise, you'll like this one.

@Atzenkiller: Get Deus Ex. It's a fantastic game and the DLC is worth playing (well, only the first so far obviously). It probably could have been more successful with more advertising push. It kind of just whimpered it's way onto the market but is still a wonderful play. Plenty of game time, too.

@xpertmom: This discussion is about how to deal with people who quit habitually. I just said that there are times that quitting is justified and that when you quit, you should be subject to lose your xp for the round. Repeat offenders are the ones that need to be suspended, starting with small amounts of time.

Obviously if your team quits and the game is unwinnable then it's probably justified that you quit, too. But if your team is constantly quitting then you need to get a new team. If you're playing with randies, then the temporary to long term suspension will get rid of the people that have a habit of quitting. In a game where the open slots aren't filled automatically and you haven't quit in a while and you quit because others are leaving then I see no reason to punish at all as you likely didn't gain much xp anyway. But if it constantly happens then the punishment should start light and get more serious with repeat offenses.

And please don't say it will affect the player base/number of players. Plenty of games like League of Legends have implemented a time-based banning system and because of that, you don't run into people quitting very often. Since doing this, they've cultivated a pretty consistently reliable player base. There are plenty of people out there that are incapable of staying in a game once they start losing and don't care about xp. If you have a tiered penalty system, you'll gradually root out the bad players.
