@AncientDozer It's not a matter of alternate endings existing. It's about how/why those alternate endings came about. In the case of Broken Steel or Infamous 2, was it because fans got all whiny and teenager-angsty? Or was it the decision of the developer to ADD to the story as they saw it fit? Very important differentiation.
@Dragon240sx, it's not even about not being able or unable to afford a sweet PC rig; I could if I wanted to. The point is that I don't see the point in, nor do I have the time to put into, the constant tinkering and upgrades. A console not only is cheaper but is more convenient ("plug and play" was a buzz term from back in the late 90's to early 00's that certainly applies here). I'm not dissing the PC. It's great if you've got the time or want to spend the money. But I don't have the desire for either and I'll stick to my "inferior" machine.
So glad that you (or more likely your parents) have expendable income to spend on a $1.5K - $2K PC rig that constantly needs updating. I'm quite happy with my 360 that I purchased for only $250 over 3.5 years ago. Sure I may not have the ULTIMATE graphics settings, but these games look 1000x better than what I used to play back in the 90's, so frankly I don't give a flying ****. Keeping things relative, we're talking about whether it looks awesome or really awesome, and I'm perfectly happy at awesome.
I'm better at not having any strategy or teamwork in multiplayer, that's why I like CoD. (FLAMERS IGNITE!) ((Clearly, I'm a BF multiplayer fan; FWIW: CoD will have an over-the-top but fun-to-play storyline... like playing through your own personal Michael Bay film. BF will have better multiplayer and it appears it will have a better story to boot... I think the win will likely go slightly to BF. This is like arguing which summer blockbuster will earn more. They're both going to make MILLIONS, perhaps BILLIONS, so in the end it really doesn't matter.))
I bought my console for $300, what'd you (or rather, in a lot of cases, your parents) buy your PC for? I'll take a little bit of quality trade-off for $300+ of savings.
