[QUOTE="Blicen"]- Yes, I'm sure many people are still playing. FFXI has been the most profitable FF game SE has ever had so I don't see that dwindling any time soon. - They've made it dramatically easier since you've last played it. Leveling is much much quicker now then it ever has been before now. - The difference right now is FFXI is just leaps and bounds better as of this moment, FFXIV is getting a relaunch this year so I would stay as far away from it as possible until said relaunch.

Thanks for the helpful response. You told me exactly what I needed to know.

I've been considering getting back into FFXI. I played back in 2004 on the PS2 version and recently my buddies have decided to go back, so I'm thinking about it.

I have a few questions though to those who know:

- Are there still as many people playing?

- Have they made any major updates to make the game easier/harder?

- What is the difference between FFXI and FFIV? I know very little about both.

Thanks guys (and gals, if they exist.)

I think most of it is worth it, except for the iPads and computers. Those things are just ridiculously priced for mediocrity. Build a better PC for half the price. iPads are just a trend of idiots. They've already got iPhones which do pretty much the same thing, but on a smaller screen. Anyone willing to throw down half a grand or more on a bigger screen is a huge moron. I would never buy an iPad unless I had money pouring out of me and wouldn't mind catching it on fire.

And what does that supposed to mean?

It means exactly what it says.

Not all sociopaths are medically diagnosed. And yeah, many of the soldiers I've met fit the definition of sociopath perfectly.

I don't know what kind of Soldiers you met but the vast majority of the ones I work with every day are not sociopaths. If anything, a lot of the younger ones are just like big kids who are away from home for the first time. Most sociopaths wouldn't do well in the military anyway because they usually lack any respect for rules and authority, two things they would have to deal with on a daily basis with the officers and sergeants over them.

This. A good chunk of them are mongoloid sociopaths who can't do anything else but grunt work.

Um, no. Sociopaths are medically disqualified from enlisting and even if you don't believe that infantry only makes 15% of the Army's total forces.

You're naive to think that the enlistment process weeds out all crazy people. It only weeds out the ones who have a record. Sorry buddy, but your government can't read minds yet. They can only look up records. If there's no record, there's no sign of crazy. And lots of people know how to lie.

Find a home base and begin storing things like food, guns and ammo (for hunting), gasoline, etc. Not sure what else I'd do. Read a lot probably.
