I don't think people know what the word INNOVATE means because many of Nintend's franchises have not been innovating anything for a long time now.

@Starsailor_IT @Bread_or_Decide Yeah but FPS are to this gen what fighting games were on the playstation or platformers during the SNES gen. There were never this many until now. It's a generational trend. There will be something else next gen. There always is.

One day I want to be Mario and come across a new bad guy and NOT know what to do to kill him. Three bops on the head kills every boss. Bop on the head kills a goomba. How about some new bad guys? New attacks? New approach to attacking them?

@Starsailor_IT But you see shooters werne't big until THIS generation. ZELDA has been the same for every generation since the NES. Every gen Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and Sucker Pucnh work on a new IP. Nintendo just makes the next mario, zelda, metroid and mario party games.

I think the best example of this is the NEW super mario bros series. From the original, to 2, to Wii, and U versions there is not a single new crazy thing between them. Nintendo never made the same mario twice in the main series. Mario Bros, Bros2, 3, World, 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy are all so different from eachother. And yet all the NEW super mario games are just the same.
