All Dolby Pro Logic II does is take a 2 channel source and with a receiver using Dolby Pro Logic II it is matrixing/simulating the other channels vs each channel getting there own encoding/decoding. So no it's not just 2.1 but it's not a true 5.1 discrete surround. So if you like the way is sounds then great!! I personally prefer an unmodified sound, either way everyone wins. :)

LOL! That's not 5.1! Plus you cant get that if you dont have a amp that supports it, and the sound will only come through the front speakers.

Looking for a new TV insted of my Crappy 20inch Sony LCD bravia(which i hate) Any i came across this Panasonic one wondering what its like for my 360 gaming. Since im not Happy with my Bravia.

BlueTsujin

As long as you realize that it is 720P, and not 1080P, then I would say go for it. if it's just for gaming, then 720P is fine, basically all games are 720P anyways. I have the Panasonic 50PZ80U and it works great for gaming, I have had a little image retention during the break-in period, but I could barely see it on a completely black screen and it went away after a couple minutes. Plasma's don't have as big of a problem with burn-in as they used to.

yep, well said.

you can't get surround sound from wii, it has no optical input.

You can only get 2.1 pro logic with red/white cable.

The ignorance here is amazing!

Of course plasmas are better for gaming, they have higher refresh rates, and no motion lag when gaming.

"Image retention is when graphics and markings such as thouse black bars left by widescreen movies or DVDs appears after the user has stopped watch that particular channel or DVD, these are temporary which dissapear once you change the channel or turn off the Plasma TV"

Please dont speak about plasmas if you don't have one.
