Title says it all. This would be really really awesome! I am aware I can download it etc and load it up manually. But there is something about convenience that figures it can't hurt to ask :D Love the show and all the new enhancements on the site! keep up the good work

For example Kevin-V, had one of the better blogs out there, but all of a sudden we as fans have no access to what didn't make the front page cut. I truly miss reading some of his random thoughts from time to time, and there are other authors too following suit.I hope this doesn't come off as if I am a crazy stalker who is demanding every gamespot employee get a twitter and facebook accounts so I can follow their next bowel movement. This is about the on-site profiles with their blogs and passions about new and old video games.

One compromise could be giving gamespot members to follow editiors and be notified when they post an article that is available to the public.

By no means am I demanding this kind of access, nor do I think a company wide policy demanding employees be more interactive with the visitors would be appropriate either. I am simply stating I appreciate all the blogs and extra content that is found on many of the employees' pages and hope whatever drove you to making your profiles private gets resolved.

Lastly, I love most of the new changes to gamespot, and I even feel you found a much better middle ground with the way you do advertisement on your website! The new content is freakin' awesome, and even if it doesn't quite work out I applaud all of your efforts. KEEP IT UP!

TL/DR: great site, great changes, it would be nice if we could subscribe to content producers on the site and see when they post a public article or video.

Your Street Fighter x Tekken ad is creating a pop up to their site. The "Click Here" to go to your intended page is acceptable, but if I leave gamespot open in a TAB it will auto pop up every so often distracting me from my work etc. Why are pop ups from ads even permitted? I seriously don't know any other legit site that uses them, because it forces the user to open a web pages that is not controlled by the site itself.

Dearest Gamespot,

I am aware commercials create revenue, revenue pays your bills, and users support and thus increase amount of stated revenue everytime we watch a commerical. Hence I am not complaining about having to watch commericials per se...

However, if the video freezes midway I have to re-watch the same 30second-1min commerical regardless of how long the video was I had to reload. A lot of sights have mechanisms to detect whether you have watched a commerical for that particular video recently (I think it involves tasty cookies). I was just wondering if your web developers could create a similar system.

I wouldn't bring this up if this wasn't a common occurance. Additionally, my problem may be unique to the stability of my interwebs or browser or computer, but reloading frozen videos doesn't seem to be a problem for me on any other site.

Now this is in the forums, others with the same or a similar problem may come forth. Thank you for listening.

The tagging system is incrediably lacking. If you search these forums (ironic suggestion) I am really not alone on this complaint. The search engine can hardly be considered user friendly especially if you're not entirely sure what you're looking for ie an article you read a while ago, or attempting to get back to a forum post that you did not post under. This isn't a game ending scenario however it does make it difficult to enjoy many of the other features that Game spot has to offer.

I wasn't actually complaining about the advertisements for the purpose to say "GS, how could you be concerned with making a profit?" I was complaining about the incrediable upscaling of advertisments without seeing an overall improvement in the GS interface. It's a give and take relationship with one's user base. Upscaling the number and annoyance of the advertisements should equal an improvement in the overall user experience. I am hoping attention is payed to the poor search engine. Perhaps these improvements are coming; I hope they are.

Lastly, a GS subscription woulnd't preclude one from that annoying "wall of advertisment" when you first enter the site unless you never deleted your cookies. Since I do not pay, I am fine with that fact. However I am hoping the increasing number of advertisements = previously stated suggestions.

Gamespot... using your search function both with your main page and through your forums is not good, to put it lightly. You have a lot of content on your site, but it is hardly accessibly unless you truly know what you're looking for. Even if you happen to know what you're looking for you probably won't find it unless it is on your main page or recent.

A couple of suggestions:

1. Ditch the current system and start new. You have already enacted the "Garden Wall" approach to advertising before I can even access your website. As annoying as the in your face DRAGON AGE ORGINS 2!!! opening advertisement is, I am hoping with the money you make from that will allow gamespot to implement a reasonable search function into your website.

If 1 isn't in the cards, here are two practical suggestions to implement in the current system

2. Many of the games are f'ing Japanesed english. Spelling is a clear barrier for many people when attempting to use your search engine. DISGAEA is the first game that comes to mind. Misspelling something even by 1 letter results in no results. Add something like "possible alternatives" so I don't have to use Google to figure out how the hell to spell it. FYI Google will often bring up reviews, previews etc from IGN and your competitors.

3. Relevance should be included in the search... Currently if I type something in like starcraft I get a decent number of possible entries, but this could be improved greatly. Allowing me to organize my searches by genre, spelling either descending or ascending etc would be nice.

I read the other forum posts, but both community and moderator responses have been somewhat sparse. I encourage everyone interested in this necessary update to post their suggestions under this new thread. Hopefully it will get noticed and we will have an even more capable site for videogame information.
