This is foolishness. This is exactly what EA (whatever dev studio) wants. They don't want you looking at the body, or jerseys, or the faces of non all stars. They only want you looking at this one small aspect of the visuals. Sure, they win overall in this one niche category, but overall the vast majority of players from top to bottom look far more realistic in nba 2k8 (aside from the scary white guys in 2k8).
i agree that i personally wouldn't do this, but at the same time these achievements are clearly beneficial to ppl getting more out of their games. sure, many of these games are too easy or bad, but if someone gets a sense of accomplishment out of earning those points and they enjoy the fruits of their labor, then aren't achievement points a good thing? i mean, whats the most important things for a game to give the player? fun, a sense of accomplishment, and to enjoy their experiance. all the games mentioned in the feature do just that, and some do all three (nba street and fight night). isn't that what games are supposed to do?
graphically, its almost like the jump from counterstrike 1.6 to counterstrike source. and graphically, the two games the beta reminds me of most (aside frm halo 1 & 2, obviously) are counterstrike source and motorstorm, and thats not a bad thing.
