Yes they are selling the console at a loss but not the games and that is where they will make up a lot of lost profit because individuals who would have bought one game with the consoles at full price will be more inclined too buy two or three games with the console at a reduced price, furthermore if the retailer sells used games they stand to make an even greater profit since the entirety to the sale goes to the retailer.

You do know that the PS4 has been selling for a profit for nearly a year now.

@sabretooth2066 I really don't consider individuals that play only COD part of the Gamer community, sure there are a lot of gamers out there that play COD among other games but the individuals that are "stupid, mindless, and dumb" (which are all the same thing by the way) usually don't associate with gamer and don't consider themselves as such.
