Can they do it, of course they can, will they? I find it to be most unlikely that they will, since the PS2 isn't that outdated, and they have other re-made projects to consider (for example how some Square Enix staff have shown interest in re-making "Final Fantasy VII", in my opinion they would sell more games of a remade FFVII than making a remake of a PS2 title that isn't that outdated as a PS1 title).

But who knows, the possibilities of the future are endless, anything could happen, but for now I doubt they will.

It hasn't even been announced (the release date) but for now there are a couple of JRPG's that are in my wishlist, and I'm really interested in "FF13: Agito", I do wish they would import some of the Tales games that are being released in Japan only, it saddens me to see such great titles missing out on the US market =(

Definetly PSP UMD, it has a bigger screen (which matters a lot to me personally), you can just get a 16GB memory stick for it and download games from the PSN store (and it would be basically the same as a PSP Go, except for size and so forth). Plus some games aren't coming out immediatly for the PSP Go, take Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep as an example, right now it's only going to come out immediatly for the PSP UMD (might come out for the Go in the future, but no news of such occuring have been revealed yet). So from a consumer viewpoint, the PSP UMD is cheaper (without counting the 16GB memory stick, since you could just get one that's smaller), screen size, and game availability, PSP UMD is definetly a better choice (in my opinion).

If you don't own a PSP and are planning to get one, just wait a while, it's worth it to be sure that your purchase is one you won't regret ;)

The amazing title "Xenogears" (which has been available in the PSN in Japan for quite some time now).

"Vagrant Story", "Chrono Cross", "Parasite Eve", and some of the Tales series.

As other's before me have stated, play KH1 and KH2 before playing Birth by Sleep, but I would like to mention that there's also "Chain of Memories" to play through (which will extend your enjoyment of the game series, at least in my opinion), Chain of Memories is like a KH 1.5 (taking place between the events of KH1 and KH2), its currently available for the GBA and PS2 (I found the GBA version to be the best, thought the PS2 version has cutscenes which are quite enjoyable), it will introduce the existance of Organization 13 (which are sort of the main villain organization for the KH series after KH1).

Then after playing KH1, KH: Chain of Memories, and KH2, I reccomend diving into KH: 358/2 Days (if you're really into the series), it serves as a semi-prequel to KH2, giving details as to the character Roxas and who he is (it also helps understand many of the events that transpire during KH2 and KH: Chain of Memories, and perhaps preparing you for KH: Birth by Sleep). Birth by Sleep is the last of the titles I would play (thought to fully understand it you really only have to play KH1 and KH2, I do reccomend you play all of the above titles to get a full enjoyment of both the storyline and series itself.

To recap, this is the order I would recommend playing the games: -KH1 (for PS2), -KH: Chain of Memories (available for PS2 or GBA), -KH2 (for PS2), -KH: 358/2 Days (for DS), and finally -KH: Birth by Sleep (for PSP).

Hope you enjoy the KH series, its truly a marvelous RPG series that is sure to bring enjoyment and a smile to your face.

In regards to the PSP, I'm looking forward to "FF13: Agito"! It seems to be a promising title thought we've yet to have much news regarding gameplay or storyline, we only have a pretty cool trailer, but I'm hoping its a good title.

There's basically no loading time (it plays extremely quickly), and this is without installing the extra game data to lower loading time, so with the extra data installed it must be uber fast! And it doesn't make the annoying scratching sound for me. I'm not sure in regards to the DLC compatibility question, but I'm guessing it is!

Dragon Age: Origins is pretty addicting the first playthrough (and maybe worth a second playthrough), but its no THE most addicting, I would have to say "3D Dot Game Heroes" for the quirkyness, but the all time fav would have to be "Bayonetta", just plain hack-n-slash fun =]
