So I got to the closest EB games this morning at around 8:13. Just about 2 hours before it openned. Met some cool people and a jackass of a cingular store owner. There was also this girl that was giving people at the end of the line free left over dounuts because she felt sorry for them. As it grow closer to 10:00 more and more people kept showing up. By then end there were probubly 70 or so people in line. Not bad for a EB hidden in the back of a mini mall.
Then came the moment we had all been waiting for... EB employees walked out holding a stack of white slips. Then came a speech about how they were sorry, but there was no way everyone was going to get to preorder today, but try back next week because there should be more preorders coming.
Now for the moment of truth. I was about 28-30 people back. Maybe more because some of the people in front were holding spots for people that camped out. As the guy handing out slips got closer to me I saw the slips slowly dwindle away. He reached the last one at a a very ugly and evil fanboy about 5 people in front of me. (Actully I dont remember what he looked like because I was so distraut.)
I would say there were somewhere around 25-30 perorders at this store. Gone as soon as the store opened. Now I'm going to go pout, eat alot of food and perhaps spend money that I dont have.
I'm thinking it should span all the way until the PS3 makes Sony ack out of the industry and the Wii 2 comes out with PS3 graphics a few years from now. :DÂ

I think after 3 they might do another one as the very last chapter of MP and then maybe they will do another spin-off for a while. I would like to see it as Nintendo's FPS title. If they can come out with a Multiplayer version to play online, the life of the title would be drastically extended.

Ok ok i will say this for the 14th time today. The Wii is at least twice as fast as the gamecube if not more. There is no way it could handle the controllers or pixel shaders for that matter if that werent true. The specs havent been released yet. What the guy was saying is that its pretty much the same box.. meaning its a gamecube, except upgraded like you would your pc. Nothing special added, just faster hardware.

Same here. The number of new fanboys seems to grow by the day and each one posts the same misinformed crap. We'll have over a hundred people counted by the end of one week!
why? because the hardware is barely a step up from the GC's hardware, and a pc video card that can produce better graphics than the wii's gpu can be bought for $80.

We're still more than a month til launch. Man, my patience is wearing thin. Hehe, thats just because everything pole thread has Wii ahead of the PS3 and Xbox 360. Theres fear in the air.
