@ALCHEMYSTO They killed backwards capability this gen. Don't ask me why. This is one area where Nintendo actually shows a bit of caring about their audience. They should keep the PS3/ 360 services up for a while so people can still play if they wish to. One thing Sony needs to work on is bringing more games to their network. That's one thing MS does have over them.

@wingheaven7 They lose money from both pirating and used-games sales. It makes sense for them to either control pirating more or block secondary gaming. I think pirating is a larger threat, not just because of their loss of sales but because it can be tracked and is illegal and would fundamentally harm their overall fanbase.

@MrKilla5 I enjoy PC gaming as well, but at heart I'm more about the consoles.

Though I'd say 85% of gaming, since the beginning, is about gimmicks. Zork, nostalgia trends, Minecraft, WoW, online multiplayer, flashier graphics, all gimmicks. Yet, we fall in them and believe that in order to continue enjoying our gaming experience, we'll "have to" upgrade. I fall in this pit too, but at least I'm aware of it.

@MrKilla5 @LAnoirFAN I think it's trying hard to make us hate both companies. PC Gamers are outraged, easily jaded folk and if this means they'll gain more to their legion, then that's what it'll take.

@deth420 I think they're doing it to keep the pricing low so people won't be flailing arms and sputtering like last time
