I really hope your not serious with this statement For the most part yes because all forms of entertainment was criticised by the media.[QUOTE="Azohar3307"][QUOTE="Nintendo_Ownes7"]
The media is so hard on Gaming because the media is mainly made up of people that were too old for games when they got popular or they were raised when gaming wasn't popular before Playstation.
All forms of entertainment was criticised we just have to wait until the people that hate on it die and are replaced by people that grew up gaming.

Movies were criticised for a while, TV was criticised, and certain genres of music were criticised.
But Movies and TV aren't that criticised anymore and some genres of Music are still criticised but Video Games are still criticised.
I'm referring to your comment about Playstation. Gaming wa popular many many years before the playstation. This whole thing with the media started back in the 80s with Nintendo and sega. Mortal combat to be precise. Nintendo used the media to make sega look bad because their version of mortal combat was censored while segas version was not. It started with angry mother and teachers but graduated up to the courts where Nintendo attempted to smear sega with it.I really hope your not serious with this statementThe media is so hard on Gaming because the media is mainly made up of people that were too old for games when they got popular or they were raised when gaming wasn't popular before Playstation.

So this is my problem.
I've built my computer and have had it for a few weeks now. Recently every time I start up the computer after being idle for at least a few hours I get a BSoD. This has been going on for a few weeks now. So I decided to write down the error message that I am getting on the BSoD. It is as follows:
STOP: 0x00000116
then it proceeds to tell me that it is preforming a crash dump and dumping all of my system memory. I googled this and found on a couple of forums that this is conflict between windows and the current driver software for my graphics card.
I'm currently using the driver that came with the card on the disk. The problem is that the new drivers that are available on AMD/ATI website are not updating on my computer. I uninstall of the current drivers, restart, then install the new ones i've downloaded. at the end of the installation I click "finish" then I get an error message saying that there are no drivers installed and that the graphics driver is not functioning properly.
After all of this the only way to get my graphics card working again is to uninstall all of the drivers and the card from the copmuter, restart, then install the old drivers from the disk. This however does not fix the boot up BSoD crash that I am recieving.
Anyone have any suggestions? this is very frustrating on a brand new $1400 computer.
