When I bought my 120gb hdd a few years ago it came with the transfer cable included. Not sure if they're still sold together, but it might be a good idea if you check if the cable comes with the hdd you buy before getting it seperately.
Also, make sure you get the right hdd for your Xbox - that is not getting the hdd designed specifically for the newer "Slim" 360. Not that I'm saying you'd do something that dumb, but just in case :P

around 2003 when they introduced the complete account. those with a free account had to add _basic at the end of their username. the free accounts couldnt see some screenshots, they couldnt download videos...i hated that time which is one of the reasons i left for a few months.
Same as me, Goliath. I've been around on the GS forums since '97 I think, maybe earlier (under various names because I kept getting banned because of my "views". But though I've rarely posted since _basic was introduced, I still regularly visit the forums.
