I live in the Dominican Republic, which FYI, its in the very middle of the Caribbean, between Puerto Rico and Cuba, and shares the island with Haiti. Well..the thing is that here the video game market if pretty fair...people buy their games and systems, some people order them trought the internet, of have them bought in the states (for lower price). Yes, there is piracy here, but that is a veeery small sahre of all games out there, only a few people go ahead and mod their consoles to play pirated games, and further more, they still buy retail when they have the buck...

I would love Nintendo to have like a Latin American/Caribbean section, so games would be way cheaper over here, because atm we pay like 60% more or something, and that holds back the market...

and back to the original question:

Does piracy affect the price of Wii games?

No, it's the price of the games thats makes piracy flourish, and even thou, very few people (when looking at the big picture) play pirated games...

Well.. to me the reason for playing part 1 and 2.. is to learn all the terms, and elements of the game.. for instance.. If you skip part 1.. you would never now what Metroids are.. when you play Echoes, and when they refer to Talon metroids and stuff.. there are many parts that you wont understand... so..for me.. the best choice would be playing trought all of them.. because, any way, the Second Part is also great... and as you have it in your possesion... it wont cost you a thing.

Nintendo Wi-FI:

Wi-Fi stands for Wireless Fidelity, its Wireless Internet to say the least. To get wireless internet you'll need a wireless router, it a piece of hardware that has and antenna, and a port for you to plug in your DSL cable (the one you plug to the back of your computer for LAN network, broad-band connection) and it transmits a signal troght and antenna.

The first thing I would do, is goint into the Wii Internet Setting and searching for a nearby connection from a neighbor :P... you can only use the ones that dont have a LOCK on their name, because the ones that do, are "Locked" protected with a password.

Or if there isnt't any avaible, go ask at you favorite store, for a Wireless router, the price range depends on the model, and brand, but you can get one for 50, 60 or less..

If eather, your neighbor connection, or your own router's connection, don't seem to work, try setting the conection manually, on the internet connection.. go to where it says DNS (Domaing Name Server), and select Manual instead of Auto... and type in the number you can find going to you PCs connection settings, unde the DNS part... if it doesnt work.. try contacting your ISP.

And.. i you can't understand me...you can find all this informatio by yourself on nintendo.com.. under technical support.

As for Wii Points... If you live on the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, or any other country were you can buy Wii Point Cards, you can just go and get them. They come in values of 2,000 Points ($20) 5,000($50) i think .. Go and ask at your local retailer for them. The you just scratch a number on the back, enter it on the Wii Shop Channel, and done!.

And if you don't live on the US, or you don't want to go buy them.. you can use you MasterCard/Visa credit card to buy them trought the Wii Shop Channel... here you can buy 1,000 Points ($10), 2,000 ($20).. 5,000 ($50), and other amount I don't remember :P... Its a safe transaction directly to your credit card account

[QUOTE="mattyftm"]The only drawback is the amount of power it uses.meimnobody

That is like a lightbulb. It's nothing compared to what other electronics consume on standby. Some use more on standby then being left on.

Its actually a miniature lighbulb... not like a 40Watt Lightbulb...

also yes... Standby wont hurt your Wii as its made for using it... But... if you dont receive messages that much.. you could just turn it off...

Mmmm....no :S...

The SD Cards on the Wii, ain't like the Memory Cards on the Game Cube.... They are just a way up adding up more Memory... or a transfer method.

Game Saves are ALWAYS saved on the Wii's internal memory (512 MB)...And, there is no way to change that default. If you want to transfer your game saves to another Wii... drag them to the SD card...and insert it on the other Wii..then... on the other Wii...that game save has to be moved to the Wii memory...to use it.....

Anyway... IMO ... storing Game Saves on the SD card by default...is not that practicall.... That's why we have and internal memory ;)....

Its just a medium for sharing friend codes and stuff.

For example... when you want to play.... Metroid Prime: hunters , for example ;)... You show up on a list along with other player who are also willing to play that game ;).. along with their respective Friend Codes...then you just add those up...and the match starts!

Is like a way of finding people you want to play with you ;)... is like pre-arranging matches ;)...

When I read "FOOTBALL" I thought about Soccer ;)...Because here footbal is actually the one played with your "foot"...

An "American Football Mario Game"???...No way..... American football sucks ;)...and mario would fit in ;)

But on the other side...Hockey would be great :D... it would be a little like super mario Strikers ;)...
