Why is it in most games, the player speed is different than NPC speed? Has anyone else noticed this really weird occurrence in pretty much most games? You're character usually moves faster than NPCs. It's never really a problem, just kind of odd. I guess I'm just curious to see if anyone else has noticed this trend in games.
It's just sad to see 3D technology bringing down the quality of the movies themselves. Now instead of shot being filmed with the coolest angle or most artistic lighting in mind, they are filmed with "what stupid thing can we have flying at the camera to pop out at the audience!?" in mind.
I actually don't mind wearing glasses to view 3D content in the slightest, I'm currently looking for the right 3D TV set for me to purchase, I'm a huge believer of the technology and it will certainly be the future of TV no matter how much people don't want to admit it, what I've found is that people who say it's a gimmick are just saying that because they can't afford the technology but once the prices start to fall everyone will be jumping on the bandwagon and claiming they always knew 3D would be the future of TV, mark my words.

No, it's a gimmick, because... it is, not because people can't afford it. 3D is retarded. I will NEVER jump on the 3D idiot wagon. The only way I'd ever is if it was the only option remaining. Just because a technology is new, does not make it good.
Well thanks for the response, and again this post was mostly meant just for me venting. And yes I am looking to get a second job here soon which will hopefully give me enough to move out, and when I do have enough, I'm gone in a heartbeat.
I'm a 19 year old male who works a minimum wage job, still living at home. My mom is literally insane. And I mean literally. I was at the casino tonight and she called me repeatedly for nearly 15 minutes, calling right back again each time I blatantly clicked ignore. Finally I get so sick of it I ask what she wants, she says it's an emergency and I need to answer my phone from now on, and come home right away because of this terrible emergency. What is the emergency you may ask? My sister apparently ran away from home. My sister is 21 f*cking years old!!!! How can a 21 year old run away from home? So in other words, she LEFT? WTF!
Sorry for the rant, and I know this threat is entirely pointless, but I just needed to vent, because this is honestly the last straw. Like....I need to commit her or something, she's off her rocker.
The reason I say this is yes, their games are really good, but ANY developer that takes 10 years to make a game can make it good. Valve just has the leisure of having that option. And honestly, waiting 10 years for TF2, and they release it and it launched with just a handful of maps, mode, and overall content... then L4D and the L4D2 fiasco, I just find them overrated. They make great games, but again, I don't find that particularly impressive seeing as how long they take to do it.
I tried evenly spreading it but it's so thick it just gets stuck to the toothpick/card/whatever the f*ck I use to try spreading it. So I just put a blob in the middle, and just pressed down really hard, tried to even it out with the pressure of the heatsink fan. It's now idling at 45c... So I kind of doubt that worked...
Ok thanks guys. I think that's clearly the problem. I didn't spread it very well at all, and my guess of how it spread is that some bubbles formed or something. I'll have to reapply it.
