I would like to know who should I contact by email or whatever if I am having real issues with how the moderating is being done at this site. I am constantly being singled out for things I say even though I am always on topic and never trolling but serious about my questions and issues I have with games. I am tired of it and tired of finding my privledges revoked with no message explaining why and no specific thread or violation referenced. I know I may not be popular but I also KNOW that I DO NOT Break the rules unless I get attacked verbally first in which case I defend my rigoursly.

So again I really need to communicate these major problems with the mods to someone who can actually put an end to this ridiculous behavior and resolve my account issues. This has gotten completely out of hand and I am very angry. I really would like to resolve this is an mature way. So is there a main moderator or a manager that I can contact? Thank you very much I hope to get these problems taken care of so I can continue to get important info about games from this site and also assist other gamers in the forums. And that is another thing ... I have helped and been of assistance to a great many people here and just because there may be a faction or two I don't get along with I do not believe I should be getting attacked by the mods as well.

Well my PS3 that I won in a contest (how that happened again I don't know ... won a Wii last year but I sold that recently to help pay for a new PC system) finally arrived and I have to admit for once I really don't know what titles to get for a gaming system. I already have a 360 and as you can see from my sig (those of you who can see sigs) a high end PC so I have the games I want that I know about but I don't follow PS3 titles closely so all I know of are the big names and many of those I have for the 360 and PC. I did get to choose any 3 titles I want as part of the prize and the PS3 I won came with Motorstorm. So I have Uncharted (feel free to comment on how these games are in your opinion), Heavenly Sword (funny ... I swore I would never play this God of War clone but the graphics are just so yummy), and Resistance (finally I get to compare this against Gears for myself). I figure that I now have the four best games exclusively available for the PS3 so are there any other Sony only titles that are must haves and on par with these? One title I am currently considering buying is Assassin's Creed but I am going to rent it for both consoles and then make my decision based on that. And I have UT3 for the PC (the main reason I got a new system) so no go there. But yeah any suggestions would be cool. Thanks. :)

[QUOTE="emitsu97"]I loved the game when I played the demo. Got the game when it came out and was kinda disappointed. The pacing is a bit slow because you're constantly trudging through snow. The graphics are really good, mech animations are great, some monsters are awesomely huge...but for me the pacing really threw the whole experience off.shadystxxx

Yeah that was something i forgot about.

Allot of people disliked lost planet because of how slow it seems, just walking 100-200 yards seems like a harsh treck, and this was the main reason the multi-player was disliked walking through the 2-3 foot deep snow makes the player move slow and slugishly, you can use mechs allot of the time to get around.

It never really bothered me during the single player, i never really thought about it as it just seemed right that i'd be walking slow in thick snow, but in multi-player i really noticed it.

So you must have played the game on the lowest setting or used cheats because I don't see how anyone who played the game on hard mode can say the pacing is slow. If you aren't constantly shooting something to get Thermal energy then you are going to die pretty soon. There is always action other than the long cut scenes ... if that is what you meant then yes I do agree that the cut scenes just take you out of the game for too long usually.

Im no overclocker but I have been reading up on it for about an hour and all guides seem to start off with making sure you BIOS is up to date. A bit newbie advice I know but sometimes it can be the simplest things that you miss.

ALLoY1717

I actually had the latest bios ... 1.3 ... but it is no good for stable OCing ... I checked with people on the Abit boards ... so what I actually had to do was drop down one revision to 1.2 of the bios. I still believe I could get it to 3.0 Ghz ... but I am really unsure about what values I would have to change on the voltage side to get to that. I am going to try again at some point but not for a while because I have a working computer that gives me great performance. No point in getting greedy and screwing something up and not being able to boot up at all. No no no. :)

I OCed my cpu to 2.7 Ghz and now my CPU is throttling between 1,8Ghz and 2.7Ghz. My question is should I disable the things that allow it to throttle or is throttling okay and not harmful to my cpu? Thanks for any help.

Now as far as a PSU I would definitely recommend the Antec TruePower Trio 650W. It's what I use to power my rig and it has never had a problem.

Good luck finding a 8800GT for less than $300 these days ... now that the demand is so high and the e-tailers are always out you can be sure that with shipping and tax you won't get one for less than $300 maybe $280. Heck I got my two 8800 GT SCs the day they were available and I got lucky ... shipping and tax included I got both cards for $612.

Thanks to all ... I think for now I am just going to give up and try and find a tech shop nearby where the techs have experience OCing quad core cpus. I appreciate all your help but nothing worked so I am throwing in the towel for now.

Still not having much luck ... I did go into the bios and raise the value of the FSB up until it said that my new clock speed would be 2.7 Ghz .. then I rebooted and the system beeped a couple of times and then came back up and Vista started with no problems ... but when I looked at the properties the listed clock speed was still 2.4 Ghz and PC Wizard and CPU-Z also report that the clock speed is still 2.4 Ghz. So I don't get it ... I know this is crazy because everyone and their mother is OCing this cpu and I am the only person that seems to be having problems ... I want to blame this stupid BIOS program but probably there is someone with the same mobo and the same bios for it ( Abit 08/28/2007 ) and they probably managed to get up to 3.3 or something. Cooling is not an issue ... I have a great cooler and great case ... so anyway hopefully someone else has some ideas based on all the info I have given.
