I don't hate the idea... if it's done properly. Developers and designers should make characters based on how well they fit with the story. Don't do it just because. Do it for a good reason. But you have to admit, it doesn't make much sense for the everyman being able to expertly kill an army of heavily trained soldiers.

I don't buy used games, but I will not be buying the next gen consoles if they decide to implement this. Too far is too far. I have enough problems as it is, with almost every PC game being riddled with some kind of DRM. The last thing I need/want is for the problem to trickle down to console gaming.

@williebazerka Well, what does the majority need to say, exactly? If they're happy with the current choice of endings, they already have what they want. It's not like the DLC will be forced on them. They aren't just going to magically end up with a different ending. Plus, Bioware has already confirmed that there is no canonical ending in Mass Effect 3, so even if they release a DLC with several new endings, it won't affect the ending you chose and are happy with. I would also argue that, in this case, Bioware adding new DLCs does NOT ruin their "artistically integrity" or vision. Mass Effect has always been about making your own decisions. What exactly would the repercussions be of giving us extra choices, so the ending plays out in a different way? I mean, we aren't going to write the new endings for them. We aren't asking for anything specific. We've already pointed out the flaws of the current ending to them. If they can't see the numerous plot holes and logical inconsistencies, they're incompetent and incapable of writing a logical story. However, I don't think that's the case because their other works are evidence that they're capable of brilliant writing.

Read this: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10473356/1 This is what Bioware led us to believe would be in the final game. They sold the damn game on this premise. In actuality, it was all a bunch of lies. If it's not false advertising, it's pretty damn close. Second problem is this "artistic integrity" thing they're trying to hide behind. It's bullcrap. If it's a story, it's not supposed to be riddled with countless plot holes. I either want a refund or a new ending (and don't charge me for it).

@xSCORP1Ox "If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all" is a ****ing stupid quote. Not everything revolves around positivity. Get over it. If he wants to ***** and moan about it, he has every right to.

If cloud gaming becomes some industry standard, to the point where you won't be able to play games in any other way, then it can go to hell, along with the game industry. I'll just get back into reading.

@hnybear1967 I don't know about Chicago. I don't think it would feel that much different from Liberty City. As for New Orleans, that could be kind of cool.

@C_T_SKYE Saint's Row The Third is a casual friendly sort of game, so I don't see your point. It doesn't make you some kind of hardcore gamer because you would rather play SR3 over GTAV. And yes, many people play Grand Theft Auto for the story mode. In fact, if the stories and characters surrounding them weren't so good, I would have never liked GTA to begin with.

@NoisyAssasin Hollywood didn't really make anything original with The Departed. It was a remake of a much better movie called Infernal Affairs, which also has a way better ending, too. The movie didn't need to be remade.
