I love Sonic games, I even had a few sonic based signatures here and there. Heck, my very first Videogame was Sonic The Hedgehog. Tails is implied to be a great sidekick but....never really does much. Sure, he did a good job in SA. I think he was sort of rushed into SA2. That's the thing, you can't really look back at most of the originals. He had his own game, sure. But....is that really enough? It was before he met sonic, right? 

The thing is, most of the time Sonic doesn't NEED his help. He's useful, when he's needed and Sonic sure doesn't need too much help. 

Luigi's actually saved Mario before, unlike Tails who hasn't saved Sonic once. Well, atleast nothing comes to mind when I think of Tails saving Sonic:P Oh, wait. Maybe in one of the older Sonic games, if you don't get the good ending with all the chaos emeralds:P He's been more of a burden AT times, I'm not saying a lot but sometimes. Rarely even. Like when he almost got Sonic killed in SA2.

Sure, Luigi may be a coward sometimes but he's willing to put that aside when his brother is in danger. He's willing to risk his life to save his brother.

By the way, I don't think Zero should be counted as a sidekick:P He got like 4 games and was always a bit stronger than X, accomplishing what X couldn't after his death. Don't fight me on this:P
