I got the wireless card because I thought it's what I would have to go with initially due my coax outlets and now I don't. But I wanted to see if wireless was even a viable option.
So I just setup my network at home and I've noticed that my bandwidth is worse wireless than wired. I know a wired connection is always better vs wireless. But I just want to know why this issue is happening.
When I'm connected wirelessly playing a game and downloading something I'll get terrible ping on my game but my download speed will stay steady.
When I have my computer wired I can download, stream netflix and play a game and not noticed a hiccup at all.
I was just wondering if someone can explain this to me.
Also my router and modem are right next to my computer so distance isn't a factor my motherboard is only 10/100 and I have a wireless card installed in my computer TL-WN881ND and a n300 Sharemax ****** router. My wireless connection keeps an avg rate 144Mbps.
So why is my wireless worse than my wired?
I'm moving into a town house soon. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good deals for a router and modems?
