No, no, no. I won't. Just trying to be overdramatic to make a point to posters who have to find something wrong with everyone else's opinion.

Why is disc swapping such a bad thing it takes 5 seconds to change disc.

Yes, you're right, I suck and I should never speak again. I'll go and kill myself now just to make up for my comment.

Wow, thanks for the quick responses, but as I feared there's already a post on this topic in the FFIX forums and people are complaining about how often it comes up. So the information is very much appreciated, but I suppose we'd better let this thread die a quiet death before the complaining starts here.

Yeah, so this will probably get modded since it's been asked before, but the last post I could find about it was almost two years ago.

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard any inside information about whether or not FFIX will be coming to PSN, and if so, how soon.

VII and VIII came out, but I'm wondering if IX is just too "new" yet. If not, I'll probably just get the discs on Amazon to play on my PS2 slim, but I'm not looking forward to the disc swapping.

Alright, so somehow in my 20+ years of gaming I seem to have completely missed out on the Final Fantasy series. Recently, though, I rediscovered an appreciation for the games and I'm bound and determined to play them before I die.

I've been doing some research on which games are still available and I've compiled some good information on just the core series of games, but I need someone to help me fill in the blanks.

As of right now, FFI is available on the Virtual Console for the Wii, so no problem there.

II and III as I understand it were never released in the States and therefore no iteration of them exists in America today, correct?

IV is currently available to play on the DS, so I might be investing in one of those little gadgets soon.

V and VI are a big ? for me as well. Are they available to play on any system? If not, do you think they will be any time soon?

VII and VIII are available on PlayStation Network so that's where I plan to get them.

IX is still available from Amazon in PS one form which I can play on my PS2 silver.

I'm awaiting delivery of my copy of X from Amazon and will probably soon order X-2.

I'm not interested in XI, as I don't really want to start another on-line MMO.

XII is still available in multiple places. So no problem there.

And XIII is coming out soon.

So that's what I've culled so far, but like I say, I'm looking for anyone to dispute or clear up anything I got wrong and (hopefully politely) correct me and fill in any gaps.

Also, anyone who wants to fill me on the Tactics games (how many, what systems), or any other offshoots I missed,I would appreciate that as well.

I'm sure it's a tall order and will require hours of explanation, but if you don't want to respond you don't have to. Thanks in advance for any help.

So after reading and watching a bunch of reviews (X-Play, GS, GI...so on)the one thing I'm getting about Borderlands is that the entire game is playable in Single player, but it's just not as "fun". Or am I missing something.

I'll admit, I have no life, no friends and only a 50 hour a week job, so I only play games for the single player content, so when a game comes out that withholds content from you because you're playing alone, I usually avoid it. But from whatI've heard about BL you can play the whole game alone, it's justnot as "action packed", am I reading this right, or have I missed something?

Any opinions are welcome.

Thanx.

So I've been half-heartedly following the whole dramatic saga about Left for Dead and LFD2. How LFD2 is coming out too soon, and how fans want more DLC for LFD, blah blah.

Meanwhile, being a loyal Half Life fan who couldn't care less about Left for Dead or it's sequels, I'm wondering what ever happened to the Half Life franchise. I mean this was a damn good game with very good characters and an intriguing storyline that was going to keep me hooked for hours on end. Put on top of that the fact that years ago we were promised some kind of gaming revolution with the fact that Valve was going to start a trend of producing games in "episodic" format that would allow games to be produced in half the time of past games with even more content. Guess that didn't come true, huh?

So I guess what I want to know from all of you insiders is What the hell happened to Half Life. I mean, hell, Gamespot still has HL Ep.3 down as Early 2009, with no update since then. W T F????

Someone give me some info on what seems to be the premature death of a great franchise that doesn't seem to be getting the respect it deserves because something new came along.

I will be sending a CC of this note to Valve as well, so if anyone is interested, I'll keep this post updated.

I'm using this motherboard for a new build but I also got the Ultra Chilltec CPU cooler to go with it. Now I'm getting kind of nervous because the literature with the mobo says that the fins covering the Northbridge? (if that's what it is, just south of the CPU socket) work well with a direct airflow CPU fan/Heatsink combo because they direct the airflow from the CPU fan over the X58 northbridgechip. The Chilltec uses the Peltier/Heat pump style of cooling instead of direct airflow onto the heatsink/CPU. I'm just wondering if this will affect the cooling of the Northbridge especially if I decide to overclock my i7 920.

Any help would be appreciated and if you need more info or need to clarify something let me know.

Thanks in advance!

For Monitor $200 to $300

For Optical Drive, they're pretty cheap so anything will work. Just don't really need one of the new Blu-ray players.
