I would give Kameo a rent. Or buy CoD 2. Both should be cheap now and are fantastic games. The reason I say rent Kameo is because it's really short, but even though it was a release title it still has graphics that can challenge some of the games today, and also it puts a new spin on platformers.
I use the GHII Guitar, because I prefer it, but that's just me. The GHII and GHIII guitars work with Rock Band, but the Rock Band guitar doesn't work with GH.
