I've noticed a lot of people on here saying that the N64 was a failure so I needed to make this thread to put my point across.

It also sold relatively well in America (for the time), just Europe and Japan let it down. :(

Of course when you compare sales to the PS1 it does look like a failure but it beat out the other competition it had quite comfortably. Also, bear in mind that Nintendo actually made more money than Sony out of the N64. It wasn't a failure to Nintendo and to me personally it was a success in many ways:

- I loved the controller, it had so much diversity and options and it had rumble!

- The graphics were awesome for the time (got mine in 1999, was 8 at the time lol)

- Some of the games, it didn't have many, but the few it had were exceptional.

Ghost of Sparta? God Of War right? No it doesn't. It's not even the best looking PSP game and it looks quite poor to be honest. The Wii is a more powerful than the Xbox mate.

The Xbox can't handle Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, The Last Story, Xenoblade etc.

Well, of course it's not a GIANT leap ahead of the PSP as of yet since the games library is crap. Once the games start flooding in you will see what it's really capable of. And no, it's not like comparing the PS2 to the Xbox since the PSP isn't as powerful as a PS2 and the 3DS is more powerful than not only the Xbox but the Wii.

Rayman 3D looks much better than Crisis Core (minus the CGI)and the 3DS has only just released so of course there won't be AMAZING looking games on it yet. Also Zelda is pretty much done and those pics are final, why shouldn't we be allowed to use those? It looks better than anything on PSP, so does Street fighter (looks on par with 360), Dead or alive etc. It's silly comparing the PSP to the 3DS and rightly so because the PSP is old tech which was impressive back in the day.

I don't see how? Mario still outsells Cod for crying out loud and that is whilst being only on a Nintendo system!
