Was Gears of War originally intended to be a PS3 exclusive franchise?

When is Metal Gear Legacy collection out?

@Sardinar @510-RAIDER PS4 is AWESOME but there just isn't enough reason to rush out and buy day 1. Those consoles will most likely be defective and then they will come out with a slim version as always.

Why should we buy a next gen console when this is coming out, then GTA V, then MGS V? I will wait and this is bad timing for next gen console release.
