Well what do you expect them to do? If our troops didn't engage the enemy, they'd be slaughtered.
No... if they didn't engage the enemy, then neither of them would be dead.... These matters could have been solved with words, this notion that these people are too crazy for logic and reasoning is ridiculous. Sure, a lot of these people have been brainwashed into following a cause and dying for it(sounds familiar), but the majority of them are probably capable of intelligent thought, there is no reason for this senseless killing. We are all humans, we have the same genetic dna, we all need food and water to survive(along with an absence of bullets through our skulls).
Sorry but if You are willing to walk into a cafe and blow yourself up, purposefully killing innocent kids, I don't think I can talk you out of it.[QUOTE="tofu-lion91"]I want a boyfriend. I've realised I'm a shy, socially inept person trapped in a chatty, outgoing body. No-one figures out how lonely I get cause I come across all happy and talkative...xaosGetting a girlfriend could probably help you get a boyfriend YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWLESS SIR!
That's a shame that somebody died, especially if they were unarmed and innocent.I highly doubt the US army is intentionally killing innocent people as a way of "nation building". I think that civilians can unfortunately be killed in war zones, especially when they are located around armed insurgents. I hope the military will take every step to avoid casualties like this and I hope our government will work harder to not put us in positions where these things can happen.
Trust me. There isn't another military in the world that puts more effort into preventing civilian causialties. That's why it bothers me when people characterize the US military as being a bunch of murderers. Worst thing we ever did was invent the "Smart Bomb"OMG how could I gorget the Great Escape?!The Great Escape
Red Dawn
The Hunt For Red October
Are a few of my favorites.racer8dan
"The chair is against the wall" Wolverines!!!!!!!
Shots were being fired, sure looked armed to me, even if not armed... don't be a "journalist" standing with the armed men. Don't remember the "kids" either.
Love how people say clearly unarmed... CLEARLY? wish I had those amazing eyes and better film footage than I have.
Go Away!
So I've seen this phrase tossed around quite a bit in movie threads. So I ask you, what IS the best movie ever? I'm just curious on what people may come up with, and what others may think of the choices.
Up front warning, please be respectful of others opinions.
For me, to this day The Untouchables still stand in my top 5 of all time. Everyone in that cast did a fantastic job. Another one would be Fellowship of the Ring. Fantasic translation from book to screen.
What are your picks? Once again, do not come in here and post "Insert movie name" sucks. I'm trying to get discussion going in a positive way.
Both of those are pretty danged awesome. It's always hard to pick THE best since does that mean the one I would watch over and over, or the one that is most "enetertaining"? I have decided to cheat and list 6 since they all tie as my favorites: Lord of the Rings (as long as you fast forward through all the Frodo's eyes scenes) is ALWAYS watchable Untouchables is simply fun and watchable. I also LOVE Ocean's Eleven. Simply a blast to watch (character interactions are awesome) Sherlock Holmes is GREAT! Princess Bride STILL has my heart to this day. Stardust... THE ONLY MOVIE I will ever describe as having a heart and soul. Honorable Mention: I watch "Not Another Teen Movie" every time it is on (yeah it sucks but I like it)sometimes, but it always instrumental and classical or soundtracks like gladiator/troy/band of brothers etc.
