Yeah I say build one, you will save hundreds like he said ^
Id rather take the time to research how to build it(I talked to friends and watched videos on youtube) as well as talk to the great community here on gamespot. Plus you get everything you want and if your not sure what you want, there is plenty of nice people that will post builds for your budget.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me and if I cant help I'm sure there is someone here that can. =)

I would just pick up a good 600w psu and be done with it. IF the 430w was a good quality psu you would be able to run a GTS 250 but not a GTX 460. But chances are that the 430w is not a good one. so buying a good psu is the smart thing to do. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4362114&CatId=1483

I have an Antec 550w, thinking about doing a GTX 460 too. Would I be okay? Running a quad core too(if it matters)

Yes you should be fine on that psu, The psu requitements for the GTX 460 is a good 450w psu.

Okay sweet, thanks for the feedback!

Wow thanks alot! ^^ I will def. do a quad now, I really do want to future proof it so I dont have to upgrade every couple months and what now. And your right on with that GTX460, that will probably be the graphics card I will get. Yupp I have 4 slots! and yeah right now I dont really need, it would be nice if i have the extra cash though. But a second monitor is on the bottom of my list Also do you think the 5000 series of Radeon will go down once the 6000s come out? I might wait and do one of those, unless your certain that the GTX 460 is the best for me...I want to stay right on or under 200 on a card... Also I know I can run two monitors now I was just asking if I can still run both at the 1920x1080 res or will I have to take a step or two down on the res if I have two 23inches.

2 Monitor setups tend to be strange. On FPS games, your crosshair is right in between the monitor bezels. I would stick with one monitor or go straight to 3.Roggirek
Well I wont be gaming on both monitors, will have a game up on one and maybe facebook, email, skype, maybe school stuff on the other. but then again maybe I should go for a smaller 19 0r 20 inch for that...

I will probably do that first, and then get a new graphics and cpu combo deal

Hey guys. Just did some long needed upgrades to my pc this summer. Picked up a nice 550W antec PSU, a Samsung F3 500GB hard drive, Win 7, and an Asus dvd drive. I'm finally really enjoying my computer. Anyways I'm looking to get a new CPU and 2 more Gbs or Ram(have 2GBs now). Also I'm going to get a new graphics card as well.

So with all that in mind here are some questoins

1)I think I'm gonna do a Quad BE 3.0Ghz..I have a 2.7 single core right now and really need to upgrade. I mainly a gamer and dont do too much intesive multitasking so should I just stick with a Dual or just go Quad?

2) Right now I'm running an 8800GS on a 23 inch monitor at 1920x1080 res. I'm thinking of picking up another monitor(same exact one) and graphics card soon around the holidays. Can one graphics card support two 23inches? I would sli but my motherboard doesnt support it, well it does but the other PCI-E is only x4...

I'm extremely good with computers and networking(no degree just lots of experience) and I had this problem when I re did my parents network at their house. I tried countless things and looked up tutorials with no help. I ended up having a computer tech come out to help me. He knew exactly what to do and with a little of my help, he was done and out in like 20 minutes. Charged me about 25 bucks. If I were you I would do that, saves a lot of frustration..
