Mine didn't "brick" either. I don't even have auto sign in on. I shut it off a few weeks ago. Guess I could sense something. Can't wait until the problems are fixed for those that didn't wait up late to download it.

And what would that be? So far, everything Eric Lempel demonstrated Monday night came out in 2.4 And yes, the in-game Custom Soundtracks for Pixel Junk Monsters Encore isn't patched yet. But I messaged friends while on COD and I got trophies while playing SSHD. I'm content.

charging console owners for updates would be like charing pc gamers for patches, it would take at all :) so quit it with the "but it's free bs" already. Oh and, when the competition offers a function that people like they better make damn sure they get it too ;)

Most likely in-game music will be standard now on all new PS3 games...and most likely be patched into most of the older games. Remember, the PS3 is still a relatively young console. As for me, I'm absolutely stoked about 2.4 and the options it gives us that we haven't been able to do before, and it's just going to get better.Zoso-8

I agree with you. I'm very happy with the new possibilities given to us with this latest update. Honestly, I could have lived without it, but now that we have it I don't see myself wanting to go back. I can't wait to see future titles with Trophies and so far they seem to be well structured in difficulty. Let's hope that trend continues so that people have to work to raise their level.

You didn't read the extensive FAQ session on the Playstation Blog did you? If you had you would have known that that video was on a modded version of the Update that was demonstrating the potential now available to developers. Developers have to patch their games in order to make Custom Soundtracks available.

I smell flamebait again. Please return to the System Wars forum with comments like that. The TC was not starting a comparison between the two consoles, but was instead hypothesizing on the concept that maybe in-game XMB isn't a "deal-breaking" feature.

On topic, I've already attained 9 of the trophies in SSHD. I think it's fun to collect them and I can't wait for the first full game to support them so I can get to work. Hopefully, Kojima and Co will come out with an update in the next few days/weeks. You could easily link the Emblems with the trophy system for quick integration.
