correction they didn't break to the point it wouldn't work. it just the Disk drivew would fail sometimes and not read cetain games in fact they would play PS2 CD's and not the PS2 dvd games. the MS prob is way worse.peacebringer

Didn't break to the point it wouldn't work? Don't know what planet you're from, but on mine when your console doesn't read your game discs, it's not working. Why do people make lame excuses for these companies? Surely you don't work for them, and you sure as hell don't owe them anything.

The Playstation 2 was notorious for it's 'Disc Read Errors', and it was most certainly a widespread problem. There were even Class Action cases against Sony over the issue.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not defending Microsoft either. They've obviously dropped the ball in QA this time around, and while the TC is quite likely biased in his views, he is right in the fact that the current problems are unacceptable. Just thought that I'd point out however, that fanboys should perhaps not be pointing the finger so quickly in light of the Playstation 2's poor build quality.

Just a thought anyway ;)

i walked into jbhifi today i a sign sed, wanna see how great the ps3 is, check out our hd section, i walked there and all i saw was a sony bravia, tv sitting on top of a black tv stand, it was giving a demo of the ps3, suddenly i notice thise bulky black thing, it was a ps3! it was camoflaged in the black tv stand, i stared at it, while everone was looking at it too and i touched it, man that felt good, it has sexy curves and soo shiny, 4 times as big as my ps2 slimline, i stood there admiring it, and touching it all over, the sad thing was the didnt have a controller so you couldnt play it, anyway, post your experiance when you first touched a ps3qoakzmwisjxneud

[QUOTE="xLegend24"]MGS4 ain't much a game for the casuals. My friends are casual gamers and don't even know what Mgs is. I'm serious! They do know what Halo 3 is though. Also, they refer to any fps as "Halo like" game.AgentA-Mi6

[QUOTE="Buff-McBlumpkin"]

[QUOTE="l1mIt"]explain how a 360 patch/download/autoupdate whatever, gives a game like oblivion better in game graphics like drawdistance without the game being installed into the HDDl1mIt

It works EXACTLY like the other Oblivion patches that have been released over Live (like the ones that fixed other glitches, like the Clavicus Vile game grashing glitch, etc.) The patches are stored onto whatever device you're using to save the game (in the case of the vast majority it's the 360's HDD, in the case of the idiots that bought the core system it's the memory card.

Honestly, how can you not realize how a patch works? Jesus.... you really shouldn't post unless you know what you're talking about.

its going to add drawdistance?

Err, what's so unbelievable about that?

C'mon you know you want to tear into it!

Syrinx61
Hehe, yeah I've got the urge, but it just looks so sweet all sealed up! I'll have a think about it anyway....it would be nice to have a valuable piece of Castlevania merchandise in a few years time (not that I'd ever sell it!). I'm not exactly short of games to play either, so it's not the end of the world if I don't open it :)

Well it arrived today - very fast! From what I can see on the back of the box, it's the European version: English, French, Italian etc, so I think I'm right. Don't want to open it now, hehe. Looks all nice and collectible sealed up....

Hey I'm part Dutch!

Syrinx61
Ironically, so am I! Hehe....

I'm not sure if you were wondering if you bought a US version and why it came with Dutch instructions, or you were wondering if anyone had dutch instructions in general due to location. :)

Syrinx61
I actually picked up a sealed copy of DoS from a Dutch seller for an absolute song - I clicked "Buy-It-Now" without even thinking - didn't want to miss a bargain. I'm sort of hoping it's the full english version - which I believe would increase it's value (no offense to any full-blooded Dutchies!) From the photo provided, it certainly looks to be all english - I didn't ask though, I just snapped it up and took the risk for the price he was selling at. Just have to wait for it to arrive in Australia now....DoS is MUCH harder to get here - very limited quantities were released apparently.

Just a quick question for you; does Dawn of Sorrow in the Netherlands come with english, or dutch, language instructions? Thanks in advance!

Well, I could see only the Wii version supporting 480p since the new cubes don't even have component out cables.nuck44
Yeah, but cube games are still released with progressive scan support.
you know how there is a GC and Wii version of the game coming out at the same time will that happen in Australiatubbs_master
No idea atm...knowing our luck, we'll be waiting sometime 'til 2007 just to get our hands on the Wii. Australia always gets things last, and overpriced to boot.
