[QUOTE="RedNEXUS"]I've completed FF1 and have now moved on to FF2, I'm on the 'Destroy the Dreadnought' mission and I have to say that this game is great! Its a complete improvement on FF1, It has better depth, story and playability. I'm still finding my footing with the new magic and stat levelling system and sometimes the game punishes me for not saving but those are the only negatives in what is a great FF.Amnesiac23

LOL I'm in the exact same place in Final Fantasy II (yes, I've finally moved on in my FF marathon lol) It's amazing that in one year they made FFII which was SUCH an improvement over the first game. FFII is fun no matter what anyone says :P

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of FF2. For one the stat progression system is a real chore to work with. On one hand, it allows for a lot of variation on developing your characters, but on the other hand it can lead to a very unbalanced party. I play the game every now and then as I'm attempting to beat every game in the series, but I don't really have too much fun playing it. The characters aren't very interesting and the story and dialogue is pretty bland. Upon it's original release, the game was probably seen as an innovative addition to the world of Role Playing games. For me, presently it just can't compare to ANY of the other titles in the main series.

On a further note, I beat FF3, I'm close to finishing both 7 and dirge of cerberus, and I started FF4 last week.

My personal favorites are VII and IX, VII holding more value to me as it was my first foray into the world of Final Fantasy. Of course, this may not hold true forever as I have yet to complete a few titles in the series that are highly praised(namely IV and VI).

When I first played FFVIII I didn't find the game that great, but I was a lot younger and maybe just expecting something more around the lines of FF7. I re bought a copy of the game awhile back and plan on giving it another go when i finish up a few other games.

I'm looking forward to FTT on PSP, but I'm not completely decided on RW. It looks like it could be fun and interesting, but Sqaure's spin-off titles are rarely as entertaining as their mainstream games.

My first Final Fantasy was Final Fantasy VII, and it remains my favorite to this day. I owe my love of video games to FFVII. I bought the game when i was in third grade with absolutely no knowledge of what it was about or what kind of game it would be. I was just looking for a cool game to play on my relatively new Playstation. Little did I know the effect it would have on me for years to come.

Playing FFIII, Dirge of Cerberus, and replaying VII for the millionth time. I haven't gotten that far in either FFVII title and i don't plan to until i finally beat ff3. All i have to do now is grind for awhile and kick the crap out of Cloud of Darkness.
