One of the best pokemon games there is.

User Rating: 9.5 | Pokemon Snap N64
Until now i only played small parts of this game, but downloading it on the wii has lead me to a full joyful experience with the original pokemon and photography

Story 9/10: Your a kid whos visiting pokemon island, and professor oak wants you to take pictures of pokemon for the pokemon report. Not only is it original but its also one of few pokemon games that doesnt follow the standard story....or even standard gameplay

Gameplay 9.5/10: As you may have guess you take photos of pokemon. You go along several courses find several different types. Youll start on the beach and unlock more levels later. Each picuture is judged on at least 3 catagories : Size, pose and Technique. You may also recieve special points for catogories like : more than one of the same pokemon in the shot, special events (EX: singing jigglypuff) and more. But its not just taking pictures, you gonna need skill and certian items you unlock along the way to find them all. Perform certian task or reach certian goals and professor oak will give you new items to help take pictures. Items like apples will not only make a better pose but lure pokemon out of a hiding spot, the flash ball will do the same and even knock pokemon down. In fact sometimes you need to do that to recieve a new pokemon ( EX: hitting charmeleon to make him fall into lava and he will pop out as a charzard!) The last item is the pokeflute which will make pokemon dance or wake a certian pokemon that fans will know of. All this variety and it only takes 4 parts of the controller: The A, B, and R buttons and the anolog stick. Its very simple, its very easy, its very fun.

Graphics 10/10: Pokemon snap had amazing graphics on the N64, now theyre even better and sharper thanks to the revitalization on the wii. Environments look great, pokemon look great, and even the photographs look great.

Straying far from its RPG formula comes an exciting pokemon game. A game of photography with such a large variety, it takes a new path towards cameras, pokemon, and games.
