Great Multi-Player, Terrible story

This game was an interesting prospect that i purchased off the Wii Shop channel. I did play the demo, which i recommend to those interested in this game, and I must say that it did catch my attention. But its really not what i expected. First and foremost, pokemon cannot level up, grow, or evolve. Also, the pokemon you do use is stuck to 2 moves that ultimately fail in most cases. So for Poke fans like myself who are really strict about the customization of their pokemon like moves, levels, stats, etc. This game is not for you. You basically play with one pokemon the whole game and you can play in 6 different levels which are all designed similarly and lack any real creativity. The music is fine for the game itself though. Another change is the fact that you are a toy pokemon and therefore you can have as many pokemon as you want. So in each different area, you can either beat the crap out of other Pokemon for cash or you can knock them out and befriend them. To get this out of the way, the Terminal allows you to release any befriended Pokemon for cash, allows you to use cash for new moves and/or new pokemon (who are constricted by the level of your wonder key.), and you can see what pokemon you've met and captured. At the end of each area, you face a boss who is really an enlarged version of the pokemon. Once you've befriended a high level Pokemon, you can go into the Battle Royal where you take down other Pokemon for time and then you can face the bosses of the rank. It really ties down to Kanto and Sinnoh Pokemon though there may be some oddballs in between. The exciting aspect of this is that you can play with up to 4 other players which is about the only real boost in this game. Overall, this game is only for those who are die-hards for collecting, pokemon bashing, using pokemon, and bored with their lives.
