Recently, I had the idea to play Pokemon Emerald again. I loved the feeling of the secret bases, the storyline, the Hoenn Pokemon as well were all great, and considering I played this during some of my best years of my childhood, this game really brought some nice smiles when i picked it up again.

The game starts out and your in Littleroot town, you`ve just moved there- and your dad has been appointed the fifth gym leader. Your looking around when suddenly you see a man being attacked and chased by a Pokemon. He tells you to go to his bag and pick one.. Treeko, Torchic and Mudkip are your choices. And with that choice, your journey to become a Pokemon Master begins.

Overall, Pokemon Emerald is a huge game with many things to do after beating the main story. I kinda wish I could play with all my friends like before and trade secret bases.. but alas, People grow up. Although I`m SURE that if they started to play this game again... They`d love it once again.

Overall, I would give this game a 9 out of 10, because it is a truly great game, with a lot of re-playability, especially if you have a Ds and the next gen Pokemon games in which you could transfer your old Pokemon to the newer games.
