The second Mystery Dungeon may be stale, but it still a fun experience.

Explorers of Time, along with Explorers of Darkness, make up the "sequel"
to the orginal Mystery Dungeon games. In terms of both, I prefer this one due to the better plot and the difficulty is tuned down a bit, as well as the better post-ending, but still loses some points in several areas.
The graphics were really nothing special. If you've seen the Myster Dungeon 1s graphics, you've seen this game's graphics basically.
The story again follows the idea the main character wakes up one day and discovers he or she is a Pokemon. Helping your partner to get his treasure back from an evil team, the two decide to join the Guild and become an exploration Team to discover the dungeons of the world. The plot soon thickens when the Time Gears come into play, devices that keep the flow of time balanced, as well as Grovyle, a criminal from the future stealing the Time Gears, Dusknoir, a famous explorer who has a dark side to his gentlemany demeanor, and the players strange ability to see the past and future. The plot does have twists and turns, as well as a tearful ending, and an intriguing post-ending, but once you've completed both, that's basically all there is.
Gameplay is relatively the same as in the original. You travel along dungeons, attack enemy Pokemon, and scale dungeon staircases to escape from them. If you faint, you lose all your items and get kicked out. Basically, all I can say is same old, same old.
The music, to me, had a lot of bland tracks, but had a lot of great tracks too. I mean, just listen to the Primal Dialga theme and ending credits theme. Amazing!
Should you get this? Only if you are an extreme Pokemon fan and liked the first one. Otherwise, I'd suggest renting it to see if you like it before you buy.
