The game is legitimately pokemon yellow for the original gameboy. Same map layout and even half the things the characters say are word for word. New style of catching pokemon is great but takes some getting used to. Its worth a trip down memory lane. The new updates like the in backpack poke storage makes switching super easy. I'm also a fan of getting rid of trash moves like flash and cut and using the new alternative method
