It's certainly not the real thing but it's not so bad either. It'll do when you want to catch a few minutes of gaming but don't have time for something more involved. Achievement points add a little more incentive. Live is different. Instead of taking turns for a higher score, you play simultaneously and race to a target score. Unlimited balls (ha) but you lose points when one goes out. Controls are dry, as there's no room for finesse. It's very easy to tilt. Tables and graphics are sharp, in my opinion, but the sound is lacking. New downloadable tables are giving it new life. The biggest bonus to this one is that it's so simple, my 5 year old daughter can play it too. Heck, even my wife can play this one!!!! To sum it up, if you're hardcore, don't bother with this one. If you're a more recreational gamer and opportunities for family gaming are important (or if you have a life, a job, a wife and a kid but not a lot of time) get this one.
