The games mash up of dinosaurs,huge bugs and a 25 foot gorilla doesn't really go together but its heck of a lot of fun.
from spearing bait to walking with the huge Brontosaurus.But whatever your fighting/running from your view is not blocked by H.U.Ds and life gauges because if you get injured the screen flashes red and if you die it stays red and ammo is calculated by Jack's speech so you can see the whole screen accept for subtitles which you can turn On/Off any time you want.Graphics and visual affects are stunning the facial detail,creature design and environmental detail is brilliant it is so beautifully created that you can see from dust falling from caves to single strands of grass.Now to Kong game play this is where it gets interesting because there are 2 story lines Jack's story line where you try to save Ann from Kong and Kong's story line where you save Ann from ferocious monsters and keep her from Jack and the rest of the crew.Kong has some basic attacks two punches(All) a bite attack(V.Rex only),Head grapple and crush(V.Rex only)and an arms up slam(All)and he can also use certain objects like logs and cars which can be used on all enemies.Kong has 4 different finisher attacks they are a move which a worm like creature(Large)climbs up Kong's neck smashing buttons will crush the creature onto itself killing it(Large Worm creature only),a move featuring Kong pulling the wing of a large flying creature then lifting it up by the wing and slamming it back down killing the creature(large flying creature only),a move where Kong lifts a grounded V.Rex of the floor on to his back then throwing it back on to the ground killing the dinosaur(V.Rex only)and a move with Kong trying to open the jaws of a grounded V.Rex then ramming them back together(V.Rex only)all finisher moves are requires you to smashing buttons(meaning repeatedly tapping fast).Kong can also swing from branches,climb walls,lift up objects blocking a pathway and smash through doors jack would have to open manually.Jack has some weapons which are better for certain creatures for example the thompson machine gun is better for killing Raptors and the shotgun is better for killing centipedes but however hard you try there is only 1 invincible creature,spiders,even Kong can't kill them you can give them a bait creature these are small aquatic creatures,giant slugs and giant dragonflies or you can throw a spear/bone with fire on it at them to make them flee from the fire.Well thats all from me and this game is briliant 10/10 oh and its hard not to have fun with this game.
