I played this game when I was just 6 years old, and I still value every aspect of it almost 8 years later. I started playing a demo of this instantly loved it. The music, which was cleverly composed , kept me humming the tunes when doing normal everyday deeds, such as school.
The graphics, in a cartoon-ish sense, are wonderful. To mix 2-D with 3-D was very unique at first, and made Parappa have its own signature
visual flair. Very colorful and friendly, but what kinda threw me off was that it did not use the Playstation's full power. It was already 2-D but it still was blocky. Even more detail could have been added. Sony had an chance. They made everything else perfect.
The gameplay just simple and awesome. Unlike DDR you wont have any fingers or feet aching after you finish tow songs. Story mode seemed short and it is possible to be done with story mode in less than a few hours. This game's replay value is high with the special modes and challenges with the same songs. Multiplayer is a wonderful chance to laugh at your opponent when he or she messes up. Grammar problems make you laugh uncontrollably when you say something stupid like "Wood the chop" on the dojo level.
Sometimes, when I'm bored at home, I woudl open up the 8 year old Parrapa game case to play a few songs on my PS2 even with my doubled age. This game has its likeable value for any age-group and thats why its one of my favorite games of ALL TIME!!
