I don't know what makes this game so great.

Like I said, I dont know what makes this game so great. I find this game to be an okay golfing game, but it has alot of technical issues that makes me not want to play this game so much. Now notice that I haven't completed the story mode on this game yet so Im not gonna say much about the story.

The game itself has a good presentation. You are greeted with the main menu that shows you the options of play. You can either play wirelessly with up to 8 people, you can play in tournament mode (which I'll talk about later) and you have your story mode. The story mode consists of two Episodes and Prologue and an Epilogue, which both are mainly movies. In the two Episodes of the game, you have 7 stories of each person's quest in the Pangya island. The story is all about these 7 people that have shown up on Pangya island, each for there own needs, and wind up in a Pangya Tournament. Pangya is a sport oddly similar to Golf (here on Earth). I wont go further into the story as I will most likely spoil it and I haven't yet completed it so I'll just stop there.

The Graphics of this game are... okay. I dont mind the cute anime look at all but I do see some polygons still showing in some of the characters. Take the character named Uncle Bob for example. You can see some polygons still showing in his elbow/arm area. I know Im getting too nit-picky there but overall they're okay. The rest of the settings, such as the courses and backgrounds are very colorful and I enjoy the night course's color scheme the best.

The sound is sort of what you expect from a casual golfing game. Nothing ground breaking here unless you like someone telling "Pangya!" every time you hit the ball.

Alright, so we hit the gameplay. I have a few negatives and a few positives. I'll hit up the positives first. The game plays like Tiger Woods PGA Golf 1999. Thats good in my opinion because I keep killing the cpu in that game with those controls (same as I do in here). I also like the fact that you can level up your status with exp you gain after each match. This gives the game a Call Of Duty feel and adds more hours of play to the game. Now for the negatives... Well the first one takes place in the story mode. In the story mode, when you play a match against somebody, you are givin either 3 rounds or 6 if your playing in the playoffs. This is a problem because your opponent can and will try to tie the game up with you. If he/she succeeds in doing this, you'll have to restart the match all over. This makes the game repetetive and boring after a while. That is a big deal for me because what do I do to a game that gets repetetiive real fast? I dont play it that much anymore. Also, the characters are very unbalanced. Say your playing with the character Scout (which is the first character you play as in story mode) and your playing against Uncle Bob. Scout hits the ball 235 ft. I have no problem with that. Then Uncle Bob hits the ball 255 ft. Again, I have no problem with that. But then when your playing as Uncle Bob and your going against Scout, Uncle Bob hits it 235 ft and Scout hits it 255 ft... what in the world? I know the distance of the ball varies on each course but still. That becomes a big game changer and can make your guy alot weaker than the weaker players on the game. But anyways, thats all the negatives I have on this game.

Overall, this game is an okay golfing game, but it doesn't break into new grounds. I couldn't really recommend this game to, lets say, Tiger Woods PGA Tour but this game is still an okay game and will make you put alot more hours on your PSP. But the technical faulties just kinda ruin the game for me.
