Ougon Musou Kyoku is a doujin fighting game taking place in an alternate universe of the Umineko no Naku Koro Ni universe. As soon as the game is started you are greeted by a flashy opening (which also serves as the Main Menu Screen, activated by pressing Start/Enter) Instantly I jumped into Arcade mode. The roster is impressive, yet very small, having only 10 selectable characters (and what appears like 2 secret characters) Now, as soon as you start playing it becomes almost instantly obvious that this game was made for game pads since the keyboard controls act like a handicap. Specials are nigh impossible without pressing buttons at random and the AI get's harder as you play through the game; by the end you'll be dealing with an combo-chaining, special spamming, Meta-blocking/whoring AI. While the game does have it's rough edges (Dear God 07th, keep the AI from spamming Virgilia's spear!) patches should be expected soon (Patch 1.01 is out right now) EDIT:Patch 1.01 has made the controls more simpler for Keyboard users; thank you Ryukishi! --------------- Grade: Difficulty: 5-11/10 Music: 9/10 Controls: 8/10 Art: 10/10 Overall: 8/10
