Keep your money in your pockets, spend it on something good like Goldeneye or something.
Anyway I'm not going to tell you the story because for those of you who have never seen it I will keep it secret, no spoilers in this review. The graphics are atrocious, end of. They look really messy and textures look even messier when you get up close.
The controls are a bit wonky when you start off. For those of you who don't know when I review the controls they aren't the same in every version (of course) so in this one it's B to grab, A to roar, L or R to gallop and a few more. I haven't played it in a while so it's kinda hard. The camera is shoddy and a pain, turning the camera is hard since it's about as flexible as a mobile phone and you can sometimes forget where your even going since it turns like crazy when it's fixed. Seriously the camera is really unbalanced. The music is OK. Simple, catchy tunes that will stay in your head, but they can become annoying. Some of Boog's abilities (yes that is his name) are useful and can really help. He learns to swim, roar, gallop, throw, and he can befriend animals so they can become his allies and they can be helpful during the later levels. The game is SO SHORT. It will take you 4-9 hours if your good enough and the gameplay...uhhhh don't get me started. This is the most boring game I have ever played.
Most of the cutscenes aren't amusing, and they are supposed to be since it is a kids game. I just wasn't amused at all when they came up. They also have this weird feature in the game. When someone asks you a question you use the C stick (which is the camera) to nod your head for a yes or a no. It's something new but pointless.There are also collectibles which will take some time to unlock but they are just pictures and lame random facts about animals in the wild. Open Season Is a horrendous game. With sickening graphics, bare-bone controls, stupid cutscenes, horrible camera, painful length and overall boring. If you think this game is cool then THINK AGAIN. This game is worthless and really broken. Skip this game at all costs. Go buy the movie instead, it's WAY better than this.
