You're a spoiled brat if you don't like this game: that is all, folks...
Well guess what? This game is none of that:
Graphics(9/10): If beautiful artwork and vividly bright colors take your breath away, then this is definitely the game for you. No tree without bright green leaves, no stone outlined by darkness, no DRAGON without breath! You completely lose yourself in a world that enchants the mind. Bosses are vividly shown with either complete vulgarity or beautiful terror. Dragons seem ready to hop out of the TV screen, characters appear concrete instead of parallel. Colors are shown here that you have forgotten in the years of those other dismal games. A work of breathing art...
Sound:(9/10): The famous Hiroshi Sakimoto himself composed the breathtaking, spine-chilling, mind-moving music that you hear in this game. Beautiful vocals and intrumental works nearly made me feel like crying! You won't find yourself listening to any awkward sound effect here, oh no! Voice actors are great! All equal in their own way to move your feelings with bone-chilling words and poetic speech from what seems like "Julius Caesar" or "Shakespeare" in almost every cutscene you view(not to mention that you can view these scenes again without replaying the entire game!).
Gameplay(8/10): Perhaps the weakest point, but a point that shouldn't bother you at all. It won't be strange if you find yourself dying dozens of times. In fact, it's the commonplace here... With ridiculously powerful enemies and monsters(not to mention bosses![crap]) you will not be leaning back on an easy chair when you play this game. Powerful tactics that the bosses use will guarentee death if you have less than half of your health bar full. Even supposedly small snowflakes prove to be fatal as they freeze you in place creating a death-sentence ready to happen.
But hey, this is funny and entertaining in a strange way. You may start laughing at how many times you die. And soon enough you'll get used to dying and find it rather humorous...
Extras(10/10): Alchemy adds a whole new twist to confuse and challenge you even more as you progress through the story. You'll mix all kinds of things to obtain potions or even explosives.
AND you can grow SHEEP! What??? Yeah, sheep. Grow sheep, watch them pop, kill it! and then eat LAMB CHOPS!! AND CHICKENS! get egg, drop egg, wait for chick to hatch, place seed for chick to eat, watch grow to chicken!! then feed seed to lay egg or kill it! then eat CHICKEN!
This game is really addicting, challenging, and entertaining all at the same time. And you will be propelled to look for eggs!!!
